As a young man Jens-Peter Sjöberg worked on the visual effects team in the production of the legendary Lord of the Rings in New Zealand. The only Swede in the crew.
He was also senior VFX artist and sequence lead in blockbuster productions like Harry Potter, Blood diamonds, and Superman returns.
Closer to home he has worked on a large number of high-end film and tv commercials before co-founding Phyron AI as creative director.
In his second Newsletter, Jens-Peter Sjöberg digs deeper into the game-changing secrets behind the big silver screens. From script-writing and casting to post-production, AI is now an omnipresent tool of the trade. But the human touch and skills are still of Paramount importance. Jens-Peter writes:
“While AI has the potential to revolutionize various aspects of filmmaking, it's important to recognize that human input and control remain vital in the actual film production process.
"In my opinion, it's the human touch that imbues a film with its unique soul and emotional depth, something that may be challenging for AI to replicate fully for now. As a result, I don't foresee a complete cessation of traditional filming methods in the near future.”
