Hi Sofia. Why do you find the e-commerce business so exciting?
One reason why I absolutely love it is the fast pace. New ideas grow into real customer experience and revenues in no time. And I expect 2020 to be at least as fast.

The market is virtually exploding with new ideas. Huge international retail companies fighting each other and with a fast growing number of startups with big ideas and limited resources. It’s easier than ever to start an e-commerce business, but to succeed long-term you need a lot more than the right products and prices. Like a welcoming community atmosphere – a place where your targeted kind of people love to hang around and get inspired.
What more do you expect to happen in 2020?
Continued cut-throat competition is bound to call for more efficient marketing, whichever parameters you choose to measure: CTR, conversion rates, time on site … you name it.
Another important but much less discussed parameter is the efficiency of the product range itself. Most of the products are out of sight for most potential buyers, they generate costs but very little revenues. That’s one of the main reason why I joined Phyron.

The emerging rebirth of branding in the e-commerce sector is also exciting, for several reasons. Whatever you can do to bring the products to life, like video, is becoming more important.
How does all that fit in with your new role?
It’s the perfect match, really. I am totally convinced that the entire e-commerce buying journey needs to become more of an exciting experience, from marketing to delivery and everything in between. And video can bring radical, much needed change to that journey. Phyron is the very essence of the evolution I just described.
As a Customer Success Manager, or CSM for short, I will make sure that each customer gets all the knowledge and support they need to establish a smart and efficient solution for automated video. A solution based on each one’s unique needs and circumstances.
